8 Unusual Halloween Costume Ideas for Men
Many men enjoy going to a Halloween costume party but find the prospect of choosing an outfit a chore. Some don’t want to spend money on a rented costume, some don’t feel creative enough to come up with something, and some wait until the last minute. This article will give these unmotivated, procrastinating men some clever and unusual costume ideas.
1.Email
Get a large cardboard box and cut out a letter “E” from it. Paint it white. Dress all in black and attach the “E” to your chest with some safety pins.
2. First Class Mail
There are two options with this fancy dress idea; the first is to attach stamps all over your face (if you want to spend the money). You can also use cardboard to cut out one large stamp or a few smaller ones, using a simple stamp design for a template. Attach cardboard to all-black clothing with safety pins.
3. Sugar Daddy
Take approximately 20 sugar packets and carefully attach them to all-black clothing using safety pins. If you’re worried about the sugar spilling, simply empty them prior to attaching.
4. Johnny Cash
Dress all in black. First, attach a “Hi, My Name Is” name tag that says “Johnny”. Then take about 20 bills from a monopoly game and attach those using safety pins. If you have a guitar you don’t mind getting knocked around, add it!
5. Peeping Tom
There are two options with this idea; the first is to cut out a window from cardboard and carry it with you. If you don’t want to carry anything, cut out two small cardboard windows and glue them to an old pair of glasses with the lenses popped out. Dress sloppily, put on a name tag with “Tom” written on it and roll around in the dirt before you go out.
6. Jack In The Box
Find a box big enough to stand inside of and cut out the top and bottom. Decorating it like a child’s toy is optional. Using bungee cords or rope, hang the box from your shoulders. Be sure to leave room for a name tag that says “Jack”.
7. Cupid
Find adult diapers that fit and a child’s toy bow-and-arrow set. Attach a name tag that says “Cupid” to your chest and put some rouge on your cheeks.
8. Peat Moss
Dress all in brown and attach fake grass (think Easter basket) to your shirt using glue. Leave room for a name tag that says “Pete”.
These easy, simple-to-make outfits are original, low-cost and should take the hassle out of choosing a costume. People will find them funny, and although not scary or spooky like traditional Halloween costumes, they just may win “Best Costume” at the party, just for being unique!
