Kids Halloween Costumes

There are lots of different Halloween costume ideas for children.  You could make your own or save time and buy an inexpensive outfit from an online store.  However old your kid, there should be a costume to fit.  They come in baby, toddler, infant and ten sizes, for boys and girls.

At a kids party there are bound to be games to play.  As the children are likely to be racing around and very active, a costume that can stand up to lots of activity is sensible.  If there are plans to go trick-or-treating make sure the costume will keep your child warm outside.

Here are some ideas for costumes:

Traditional

The classic, scary Halloween costumes are always going to be the most popular.  Little girls love to dress up as witches, boys as wizards.  Other possibilities for costumes include skeletons, ghosts or witches cats.

Film Characters

Kids will love the chance to dress up as characters from their favourite movies.  Movies that are currently big hits include Transformers, Hannah Montana, High School Musical and Harry Potter.  Superheroe costumes are big every year, with kids loving the thought that their costume gives them special powers!

Disney or Fairy Tale Characters

There is a great choice of costumes for all ages based on Disney films or classic fairy tales.  Princess costumes are a hit among girls, boys like to dress as baddies such as Captain Hook or heroes like Prince Caspian.
